Dr. Dana Anholzer joined Hingham Animal Clinic in October 2013. She was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin before moving with her family to the Carolinas in 2001. She graduated from Clemson University with a BS degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences in 2009 and went on to get her DVM degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013.
Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Dana spent time volunteering with local humane societies, wildlife refuges, and veterinary clinics, shadowing multiple veterinarians and working as a veterinary technician assistant while attending school in South Carolina. Her medical interests include preventive medicine, internal medicine, and dentistry.
In her spare time, Dr. Dana enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs Jayke, the long-haired Dachshund, and Cassius, the Boxer. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
